Next Generation Fibre (NGF) Frames for Telcos
IntroductionUnprecedented growth in the telecommunications industry has driven wide-spread deployment of optical fibre over the past few years. As a result, many service providers are finding that their existing fibre frames and troughs are overflowing with large masses of optical fibre patch cords. In addition, the rapid deployment of SONET/SDH, fibre in the loop and video initiatives has created the demand for increased termination density at the fibre distributing frame. Service providers must build a sound network infrastructure that will provide a solid base for delivering the new and enhanced broadband services promised by the ever-advancing information superhighway. What's Next? It's clear that simply adding additional fibre frames to an existing FDF lineup is not the answer, as conventional fibre frames allow only a small number of bays in a lineup before the horizontal trough system becomes unmanageable. A more innovative fibre management plan is needed that will provide unlimited expansion as well as alleviate jumper pile-up in the horizontal troughs. With the introduction of its Next Generation Frame family of products, ADC KRONE offers the innovative solution that service providers have been waiting for. Designed specifically to provide higher density while improving fibre cable management, the Next Generation Frame product family allows for virtually unlimited growth. FramesADC KRONE’s Next Generation Frame (NGF) product line has fibre frames designed to fit a variety of applications. Each frame option is designed with an emphasis on superior cable management and ease of use, including features such as ample trough space for cable and cable jumpers, easy access to connection and storage for jumpers. The NGF is an ideal solution for high density Fibre network of carriers , providing reliability and flexibility in service offerings and lowering operating costs.
