In today’s highly networked world, information in the form of digital bits needs to navigate its way through many different networks, before it is eventually reassembled at its destination. The release of the first Building Wiring Standard in the early 90’s by The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), established some transformational standards in the design, installation, and performance requirements for telecommunications cabling systems in commercial buildings. Since then, standards have enabled our industry to grow based on robust foundations.

Often enterprise networking is visualized as something that happens exclusively in an office environment.
